New beta version 1.2.1 of Vocabulary Cards is available!

Not really fancy features - more focused on stability. Now it runs also on ALP/maemo emulators. Also a german version is out. If there are no bugs found this version will be the next stable. For a complete listing of all changes see Changelog.

Fixed some bugs and added the tagging functionality of cards for learn and drill lessons. Usage should be self-explanatory. Furthermore the user can now switch the direction of the learn lesson: starting from tray 1 is now also possible. For a complete listing of all changes see Changelog.

Everyone does it - so do I ;-): Here is the Halloween Edition of Vocabulary Cards beta. Fixed two bugs and added an extented option for drilling of already learned cards. For a complete listing of all changes see Changelog.

My first beta after stable version 1.0 is out! It is meant for the bold one. It runs without resetting my Treo 650 for some weeks now - so consider it as quiet stable. There is still one pointer error occuring in emulator left, but I was not able to nail it down up to now and it did not show up on my device. As always: use it at your own risk. Backup your data before updating!
This new beta has some new features:

Card tags: like the palm categories, but I used my own implementation to overcome the limitation of a maximum of 15. You can define now up to 50 card tags and assign them to a card. Thus it is easy to learn only cards from a chapter or a special topic. Currently the tags are only used during drilling. Learning with tags will follow soon. You can define the card tags in the card box dialog using the menu item "Edit card tags". On the mainscreen you will find a selector for the card tags. Card tags also work already in the search dialog (and of course for "new/edit card"). Sorting the card tags in the list alphabetically will also follow. Just try it and give me your feedback.
Random display of the card side: now you can display the card side randomly. Currently this feature only has an effect on the display, i.e the learning direction is not altered and thus the results change only the statistics of the direction defined in the preferences. Therefore the second option "Don't switch direction" is currently only usable when set to checked.
Setting a different number of repetitions for drilling of cards which have already been drilled and were now moved back to drill due a wrong result in tray 1. Normally these cards are already known to the user and don't need the whole number of repetitions in drilling. Now you can set the number e.g. to 2 for these cards. Thanks to Roland for sending this feature request.

Ported a small found during beta development back to stable: 1.0.2-stable is also available for download. For a complete listing of all changes see Changelog.

And the award goes to Martin. He found a small bug which can lead to a loop in the Import from Tool dialog. Also one small bug concerning the handling of incomplete cards in drill lessons was found by Ulrich. Thank you very much for your reports.
Taking the chance to modify the code of the stable version I also arranged V-C for the new "Card Tag" feature which will come shortly in a 1.1.x beta version. Please update to version number 1.0.1! For a complete listing of all changes see Changelog.

It really happened: After seven years of development Vocabulary Cards has finally reached version number 1.0! It is available for download in english, german, french and spanish. There are so many new features since version 0.6.7. Please see Changelog for a complete listing of all changes.

New beta version 0.8.4 for download available! The very intense code review paid off: this is the most stable version I've ever had. Even after 10 million events I've got not reset or error.
